Hello, everyone! I have a prosba to ask of those who live in Yekaterinburg. My mother, Lyalya Loshinina, is going to Yekat next week and she doesn't have friends or anybody she knows who live there so she can stay with them. And I am looking for people with whom my mom can stay for a period of 4-6 days begining this coming Monday. So, please, if you are willing to help or you know somebody who can let my mother stay with them, please, email me to this address : anita_LDS@hotmail.com or istinna2003@yahoo.com. Thank you and I really appreciate your help. Eve

Dear Returned Missionaries, I am a graduate student conducting a Ph.D. research study on cultural readjustment, reverse culture shock, and repatriate distress. I think that this study could be very helpful to churches in continuing to improve missionary care and training. Any American who has lived abroad for at least one year and has returned to the U.S. during the past year is eligible to participate. If your current status qualifies you for the study, please consider participating in this research. Participation simply involves filling out an anonymous, online questionnaire about the sojourn and return experiences. It takes most people 15-20 minutes to complete. In order to complete the questionnaire, participants should go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=36057399214 and enter the password “returnee.” Thanks! My husband who is out from his mission about 10 years now, had a get together with a couple of his old comps and they really had a wonderful time. I enjoied it and I didn't even serve there. I think we really need to plan something for Efimov missionaries with all the response so far on the board. I'd love to take up Halldian on his offer, but I can't afford that at the present. I would be willing to help put together some plans for something here in Utah if someone else who will be willing will contact me. I live in Salt Lake right now. I'm really busy this month, but I think if we started planning first of Nov, we could come up with something in December---or is there a better time than that for everyone? Should we shoot for next conference? I would even consider the service thing, sounds kind of fun. Someone email me! I would need some help for sure. Trudy

I've been thinking about a possible Efimov-era reunion. As fun as it would be to just get together to catch up and re-live old times, it might be more rewarding to organize a small service project. I've had a couple of ideas: We could have several cases of copies of The Book of Mormon available that attendees could put their testimonies and perhaps family pictures in to be sent to missionaries in the Urals. I've also heard that the church's stock of hygiene kits has been severely depleted by the Florida hurricanes. I think church humanitarian aid will provide the materials if we want to assemble the kits. Any other ideas? Is anyone else interested in something like that or is it just not worth the hassle?

Greetings from Sweden! Living here (3 minutes from the temple) has its perks. One of which is the opportunity to meet with all the old wonderful members from Ekat & Novo. Most recently met with Elja, and her husband, from Ximmash/Ekat. If anyone wants a Efimov-gang reunion, I can't think of a better place than our place, next time the Ekat members are here. It's not that far ;-) Lots of lovin' David Halldén
