Anyone have a good address for the mission home of the Russia Yekaterinburg Mission? I tried sending a letter via pouch but it was returned stamped "not in compliance with new pouch regulations". Any ideas? Thank you, Randy Oveson randy@oveson.net - - - - - - - -

Hi!! Can someone please help me find out how to make a referral to the missionaries in Ekaterinburg or Verhnyaya Pyshma? I never thought it would be so difficult to give a referral to the church!! Maybe a direct email to the mission office would be helpful? If someone knows how to give a referral via email, please send info to cr_b@hotmail.com Thank you!! - - - - - - - -

Hi Elder and Sis. Palmer,
It is awesome you are going to the Yekat Mission. I have a son, Matt Farmer, serving there and loves every minute of it. He still has 7 months left so you will be able to meet him, I am sure. Right now he is in Surgut but transfers are coming up soon. He says it is dark most of the time now but it is slowing changing.
Only one thing about packages: They take at least 3 months to get there. But they do seem to make it.
By the way, my mom, Dottie Connor, works in the MTC helping the Elders and Sisters with their shots. She would love to meet you. Just ask for MawMaw when you walk into the room. I've had 4 missionaries go out and everyone calls her that, even their companions. ha
This is so great. I'll be in touch. You're gonna love it.
pam

Sister Palmer and I have been called to serve in the Russia Yekaterinburg Mission. We will be in the MTC in Provo on June 9th, and will be on our way to Yekaterinburg the following weekend. We are excited, and nervous, but are anxius to fulfill our calling with all our hearts. We are looking forward to meeting the missionaries of the mission and to be among the Russian people.
We have made almost all of the arrangements necessary to leave our home, our business, and our family. We are now waiting for our passports, and still do have a few things to prepare.
We look forward to being with all of you.

Sister H, you really don't need to take a whole lot with you. Trust me, it's easier that way. The apartments are usually furnished really well with appliances and the things you need. Missionaries buy them and then leave them. Works well. As far as a camera is concerned, I served a while ago so I don't know how they do things now with digital cameras and stuff, but for sure take a camera! If you have more questions, I'd be more than willing to help you. Just email me, jessmwood@hotmail.com. Good luck! - - - - - - - -
