Great site! I've got a question for anyone who's sending mail to Russia. Do you send letters via the Postal Service, or is there still a pouch system for the mission? I've always sent letters through the Postal Service, but it seems several haven't been getting through lately. What method do you use, and if the pouch is still in existence, could someone tell me the address? Thanks!

I served in the Rostov Mission from 1996 to 1998. I recently finish my MBA degree in international business and am hoping to return to Russia to work. I have been finding it difficult to track down Americans working in Russia and was wondering if you could give me a hand. Do you know of any Americans living in Russia during your tenure or currently, whom I could contact? Thanks, Brian Gulbransen brian_gulbransen@hotmail.com (303) 688-2588

Sister Willis, Congratulations on your call! I just noticed that no one responded to your question. Hopefully by now you know the answers. Just in case, however, you should definitely wait and buy your coat and boots when you get to Russia. They have a much better selection for the cold and great prices, plus it helps to blend in more with the Russians. Big puffy American parkas look ridiculous to them, as do our version of snow boots. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me directly.
