Dear Return Missionaries: On October 4, 2002, the Halls will be hosting a mission reunion for all of those who served in the Yekaterinburg, Russia Mission. Because several of the alumni served under President Jarvis we will be combining groups to include both Mission Presidents and their lovely wives. The reunion will take place at the Wilkinson Center, on BYU Campus, in room 3250 from 6:30-10:30 p.m. The program may include a return and report from the missionaries, so be prepared to share a little bit about what you¡¯ve been doing since you¡¯ve been home. Feel free to bring a date/spouse. In addition we will be privileged to hear from both mission presidents and their wives. The program will be followed by a potluck dinner and dessert, with the following food assignments: Please, bring this if you served here Chips or drinks Perm, Tyumen, any of the newly opened cities Side dish (of a non-chip nature) Yfa, Yekaterinburg Desert item Kyrgan, Chelyabinsk I realize that you probably served in more than one of these places, so choose the one in which you served the longest. There are two very important matters I must address in closing. First, since it has been very difficult to contact every returned missionary concerning this event, please get in touch with your former companions and pass this information along to them. I¡¯m sure everyone would like to know about it. Finally, whereas I will be ordering the main course, please email me (chasywasy@hotmail.com) to let me know by September 25 (that¡¯s soon!) whether or not you are coming and whether or not you are bringing a date. We hope that this letter finds you doing well, and continuing in your service to the Lord. We look forward to seeing you in October. Sincerely, Chase Rawlins

Today President Hinckley visits Moscow! I believe this is the first time the prophet of the church has ever visited a body of Russian Saints in an official capacity! This is a historic milestone for the church in Russia! Ukraine also received a visit yesterday. If anyone visiting this site was able to attend the meeting, please tell us of your experience.

Hey Everyone! I served in the Russia Yekaterinburg mission from Oct 1997 to 1999. But I am here to announce a different matter: Everyone, the time has come for an informal reunion. This is for those who want a reunion without the hype, without the Presidents....without the baggage! This is a Reunion celebrating good times, open to all past, and future alumni and friends of the mission! We want to hold it at: Some Dudes Playground 7953 South Redwood Road West Jordan, UT But I have saved the best part for last.... MR TROUT will be the entertainment! (1 Mission alumni plays in this band, and 1 produces it)! That's right, come and see your favourite local band, none other than Mr. Trout! They will be playing on September 7th, at the reunion from 9 PM - 11 PM. So, to recap... Saturday September 7th, 2002, Yekat Mission Reunion At: Some Dudes Playground!! Start at 7 PM, Mr. Trout at 9 Be there!
