My wife is from Izhevsk, we met with Pres. Hall concerning establishing a Missionary Couple in that city. My wife joined the church two years ago and has been through the temple. Her mother and father have visited the US and are supportive of the church. We have formed a non-profit entity with a functioning board of directors, and have funded the necessary allotment required to support a missionary couple in Izhevsk. Our organization is called Family to Family. We have received official approval from the Udmurt District library to hold classes in that facility. We would like to make contact with the new mission prewsident. Please respond to this email addrress. We look forward in helping establishing a branch in that area of the mission. - - - - - - - -

sup everyone, i haven't been here (on the board) for a long time since we've been trying to adjust to life here in America which took us a while and some efforts. Now everythings seems to be going just great down here. We are having a lot of fun but also working a lot. We see returned missionaries here every once in a while as they come to see us. I also keep track on what is going on down there in Ufa and i'm really sad that so many of our cool missionaries were transfered. Anyways, i hope those guys will be doing good whereever they are right now and i hope we'll see them again some day. Zhanna, how are doing, my sweetheart? Tell hi to everyone i know for me and also tell'em i miss them all so much! Hope you're having a great time out there in mother Russia:) and take care. Love ya'll, Zhenya - - - - - - - -

I served in Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, and Ufa from '95 to '97 and have recently returned to Russia (St. Petersburg) to do a little research with my school. Since I've made it this far, I'm going to try and make a trip to spend the weekend of the 13th and 14th of July there. I was wondering if anyone could suggest good hotels in both Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk. Also, I'm looking for the address for the Chelyabinsk Tractor Factory branch (if it's still called that). If anyone knows, please email me at jrb77@email.byu.edu. Thanks - - - - - - - -

Yesterday, 158 years to the day that the Prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum died at Carthage jail, I was blessed to be able to watch the Nauvoo temple dedication at my stake center in Portland Oregon. It was a moving and spiritually powerful experience. President Hinckley was moved to tears 3 or 4 times during his remarks! He testified that he felt the presence of certain persons and beings who I will not repeat here as I consider it too sacred to repeat in a public forum. When President Hinckley gave the dedicatory prayer, I felt an outpouring of the spirit stronger than I have ever felt before. I just had to share this with my Russian friends because this church and work is a joy to me! I read that there were satellite rebroadcasts planned for Russia. Was it rebroadcast in the districts there? I'm curious to know. God be with you all, and press forward Saints! The church is true! - - - - - - - -
