Hello Everyone! I served in Ekaterinburg from Oct 93 to Nov 94. Four of us were sent out of the Moscow mission to start the work in Ekaterinburg. I can't tell you how great it is to read about the many wonderful things taking place in that area. The work started slow in the beginning, but we knew that it would become a choice place for the Church. The four of us held the first Sacrament meeting in the Central Hotel. We initally lived in a dormitory where we met a young couple that became the first members of the church. The work progressed slowly, but each of the early members played an important role in building the foundation.
Does anyone have any information on Luda Knyazeva? She is a blind lady who lives in the southern part of the city. Please email me with any info. Thanks.

My mother has just been called to serve in the Yekaterinburg Mission. She will leave for the senior MTC in July. We really need some input on the types of things to take! I also want to know how safe the area is for a senior sister? Is email the best way to communicate with her once she arrives? Please email with any information! Thanks so much!

We would like to go to pick up our missionary in Yekaterinburg in August - does anyone have any advice on how to arrange a trip over there for 4 people at a price we can afford? We also want to go to Latvia afterwards with our other son who was there on his mission. Thanks for any help. The travel agent planned a very expensive, very detailed trip and I just think there's got to be a better way. Thanks!

Also Paul Rose lives here and he went to a mission in Perm and Ufa and came back several months ago.
