My name is Sherman Anderson, and I served in the Russia Novosibirsk Mission from 1994-1996. My friends and I have decieded to help a couple of orphanages in Russia by collecting items that they can use, and sending them those items.
If any of your alumni, friends family or others would like to participate, we would appreciat your help.
Examples of items that they need are socks, underwear, gloves, untied blankets and other warm clothes items.
We are working with the adoption agency FOCUS on Children who works to facilitate adoptions around the world. We were hoping that you might be interested in working along with us. The website for FOCUS is www.focusonchildren.com. This can give you a better idea of the mission and work of FOCUS on Children
Together we can make a difference in the lives of a few children, and make the world a better place. If you, or anyone you know would be interested in helping out please email me at sjanderson@usa.net

I was wondering if anyone had any information on when they are going to reopen the chapel in ufa and if anyone knows the reasons behind the inspectors shutting it down if you know let me know thanks.

Maybe many of you already knew this, but there is a live webcam looking at the city admin. building in Yekaterinburg that is in realtime - it looks pretty much like a video camera with a fast web connection. It can be found at http://www.e1.ru/resource/webcam/ and right now has a very cool picture of their ice playground.
