Privet vsyem! Just wanted to ask if anyone has pictures of the new Ufa building yet, or any recent pictures from the Uralmash branch in Yekaterinburg. For anyone interested, I am working on transcribing President Efimov's last talk to the missionaries at a zone conference in Yekaterinburg in June 1998. I had fogotten that I had taped it and I hope to have it po-russkii and in English soon. Email me if you are interested in a copy. And if any new missionaries on their way to the Russia Yekaterinburg (or will it be Ufa?...) mission, keep an eye out for my little brother. He leaves for Russia from the MTC March 19. Poka!

If anyone is interested in translating for Russian kids in SLC, I have a great opportunity for you. Kidsafe, a program that adopts Russian orphans to U.S. families, needs RM's that can translate for these kids that come over. You will be called whenever needed to come translate if the families need help understanding their new adopted kids. It's not a big time commitment at all. Please email me if you're interested at steven.pugsley@utah.edu or call at 801-466-4501. Thanks.

Hey fellow Ekaters! For those that remember me, I'm announcing that I'm getting married in June after I graduate in accounting at the UofU. Then, we're heading off to the heart of Silicon Valley where I'll work for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, a worldwide CPA firm. What an awesome website this is that I just found! I'm impressed. Ny ladna, davai!!

Hello boys and girls, I saw a few alumni from my era and thought I would post a note just to say hey. I graduate in June and would like to put a shin-dig together for all those interested. As most of you know, Masha Zhabina lives with my family and can cook up some good Russian grub. Anyhow, email me if you are interested. Hello to all those I haven't seen forever. You are always in my hearts. Mike Bohn

Hola Sister Evans. My name is Scott Campbell. I served in Ekat from '96 to '98 and noticed your request for a type of boots to wear while serving there. Depending on where you live, there are a lot of different kinds/brands that will work. I personally wore a pair of Asolo AFX boots except for the 2 months that they call spring, summer & fall. They worked great because they were very comfortable and extremely water proof. Expect to pay up to $200 for a decent pair of boots - but remember that you'll be wearing them almost daily for two years. Don't get the cheap ones! Most boot manufacturers make a line of boots specifically for women. I haven't a clue if that makes a difference. Anyhow, hope this helps. PS - If you really want to go the Russian route, you can wait until you get to Russia and buy a pair of Uuntii! I got a pair made from DOG. They're sure to keep you warm!

Hey there y'all. The name's Dan and I'm from good ol' Orem, UT, and I can see the Provo Temple and the MTC from my back window. It's a wonderful view, especially at night when both the Provo Temple and the 'Y' on the side of the mountain are lit up at night. Anywho, I've been called to this here mission that y'all are chattin' about, and I'll be entering that there MTC on the 28th of February. So, I guess I'll see ya there Bro. Weeks. As for the rest of y'all, keep clean and choose the right.
