I just received information about my grandfather (2 years of geneological research)and I need help. The city that he is from/born has two spellings and I can't find either of them. "stolkliszki" or "stokleshke". He was born in 1896 so I don't know if the name has changed since then or what. Is there anyone that can help me???

Unfortunately, I believe the closest branch to Nizhny Tagil with any regular transportation is in Yekaterinburg, which is about 3 hrs 20 min away by bus or train. There may be a member or two in the area, but no established church presence.

My husband has been considering accepting a 2 year assignment for his American company near Nizhny Tagil. We would be bringing our daughter who will be a senior in High school next year.He is a former Bishop, I am a former everything else. We are wondering if there is a branch near Nizhni Tagil, If there are any english speakers in the branch, if their are any schooling possiblities for a 17 American exchange student of sorts and any other information you could provide us with. Any advice or encouragement would be helpful. Thanks Christine

my name is ina and i was adopted from chelabinsk orphanage #6 when i was about 9 years old. I do not plan to become a part of this forum but i just wanted to tell you guys not to be completley closed to the idea of an older child. i am now attending college and a pretty involved member of society, my parents love me and im happy.
